
It is a full-scale testing platform built for the investigation of derailment mechanisms. The length of the track is 120 m long and is employed to research derailment mechanisms of bogies running on track. The rig is composed of a track system, guide rail, traction system, trailer wagon, bogie, load application device, electric cylinder servo loading device, safety rope regulation device, angle of attack regulation device, and so on.
Functions:
● Simulate the process of wheel climbing at low speeds
● Study derailment mechanisms
● Study and further understand wheel/rail matching relationships
● Obtain a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying the dynamic interaction between wheels and rails
● Study the critical angles of derailment under different conditions
● Experiment and study the geometric contact relationship of different types of wheel profiles
● Study wheel/rail interaction effects with respect to track geometry such as different rail distance, horizontal and sloped tracks, etc.
